We will be migrating OPNFV's Gerrit from a VM running on hardware to AWS and at the same time we will be performing system maintenance across all systems which includes kernel updates, package updates, and system reboots. During this time individual services will be unavailable for up to 30 minutes.
The following systems are affected:
- Gerrit (gerrit.opnfv.org)
- Confluence (wiki.opnfv.org)
- JIRA (jira.opnfv.org)
- Etherpad (etherpad.opnfv.org)
- Pharos Dashboard v1 (labs.opnfv.org)
- Test Results Dashboard (testresults.opnfv.org)
As Gerrit will be moved behind a loadbalancer with a rotating pool of IPv4 addresses, we have create a separate domain (gerritssh.opnfv.org) with a single static IP for companies that restrict outgoing SSH access.
For users at companies that don't restrict outgoing SSH connections, you should not need to take any action to continue using Gerrit over SSH at the gerrit.opnfv.org address.
However if you do work at such a company, please inform your internal networking staff to allow outgoing connections on the following IPv4 address and port:
IPv4: 34.213.23.63
Port: 29418
Users at these companies will also need to update the git remote of their cloned repositories to use the correct connection:
git remote set-url --push gerrit
ssh://@gerritssh.opnfv.org:29418/.gitAs usual 30 minutes prior to maintenance Jenkins will be put in shutdown mode to ensure clones do not fail.
If you have any questions or concerns or feel we should reschedule, please reach out at
helpdesk@opnfv.org, or respond on the mailing list.
